About The Property
Located in Old Heacham, this Grade II listed spacious property was once home to the Rolfe family. Who knows if Pocahontas could have stayed here? Dating back to 1570 with later Georgian additions, the property boasts a 4-acre garden featuring a private heated swimming pool, hot tub, pétanque pitch, and practice golf green.
Families can explore the many North Norfolk beaches – some less than a mile away – and picturesque villages such as Burnham Market and Thornham.
The Property
Enjoy the whole property which offers 7 large bedrooms that can sleep up to 14 people (5 with king-size beds and 2 twins) and 6 bathrooms — one of which is ensuite. Enjoy a formal lounge for relaxation, which also boasts table tennis, bar billiards and a large TV, and a snug complete with a large TV, DVD collection, books, and board games.
Alongside a dedicated office, there is a the well-equipped kitchen with a more casual dining area. Guests also have access to a formal dining room and the convenience of a large laundry room and two downstairs toilets.
In the outside buildings, a games room featuring a 3/4 size snooker/pool table, darts, and ample seating leads to the heated swimming pool and hot tub with a dedicated changing area and shower. There is also a large barbecue on the patio outside the kitchen with a large outdoor table and chairs. Further table and seating overlooks the petanque pitch with views towards the putting green. An outdoor playground is also located in the garden and there is plenty of room to do other activities.
Guest Access
Guests enjoy access to the full house, garden, pool, and hot tub. Note that the horse field and certain outbuildings remain off-limits. Additionally, a few internal rooms are kept locked for the family's personal use and storage. Up to two well behaved dogs are allowed and assistance animals.
Other Details
Our home has been lovingly restored and we ask that all guests be respectful of the artwork and details that we have invested into making the property a special place to stay. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and checked in by Matt and Laura, while Claire manages bookings and administration. Chris will visit twice a week to maintain the garden, pool, and hot tub.
